Exciting things are happening at Berklee City Music. This past Friday Berklee President Roger Brown (right), and Berklee City Music Network Executive Director Curtis Warner (left) met with Andy Davis (center) of the Music Empowers Foundation. Here�s what Andy and Curtis had to say�

�Had a great meeting yesterday with Roger Brown,[...] and J. Curtis Warner, [...] The Berklee City Music Network is a fantastic program that brings contemporary music ed to 4th through 12th graders in inner cities. Program is in almost 20 cities now and expanding. Music Empowers Foundation will be partnering with City Music to help make this happen�

THE PHILADELPHIA CLEF CLUB OF JAZZ & PERFORMING ARTS FUND RAISING EVENT "THE RAGIN' RHYTHNS MUSIC SERIES PROJECT"(C) The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts will be hosting their annual fund raiser, The Ragin' Rhythms Music Series Project (c) presented by Visions East Productions Co, Remora Music Co., and Dwayne Nixion Corporation with 2 shows 7:30 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. We are featuring the legends of MOTOWN former lead singer G. C. Cameron of the "Spinners" with the hit "It's A Shame" and the "Temptations" singing the hit "MY GIRL" with his special guest "Kim Weston" known for her hits "Take Me In Your Arms", "It Takes Two" & "Secret Love" backed by music director Billy Jolly. Three years ago, Berklee's City Music Network - launched in 2001 - expanded to include partnerships with community organizations nationwide, including Tipitina's Foundation and the Tipitina's Internship Program, who actively shares the goal of changing teenage lives with contemporary music education.

Tipitina�s Internship Program (now serving even more New Orleans youth, with students ranging in age from 10 to 17), and increasing the profile of Louisiana�s new generation of musical talent.

RYTMO Student Mychal Gets Accepted to Berklee Summer Program

Mychal Fabela - a graduate of Level 3 - was recently accepted into Berklee's prestigious Summer Program for 2010 - the first ever for a RYTMO student! Not only that, but he got a full scholarship!! WOW. After helping him prepare for the audition in our Berklee Training Track, he showed nothing but gratitude, hard work and perseverance. And, now.... we cant applaud enough! Now its up to you to help him REALLY get there by making a donation to support his airfare, meals and lodging. Congrats Mychal - we'll see you Boston. :)
